The diagnosis of Retinitis Pigmentosa or associated conditions is a traumatic event not only for the diagnosed but also for the entire family unit. We urge members who are newly diagnosed, and having difficulty, to seek counselling form a qualified counsellor. Your GP or your Ophthalmologist will be able to point you to the right professional in your area.
A member of Cure Blindness Australia is a qualified counsellor and can provide this service if required. You will need a referral form your medical professional.
